For this project in the mid-1990s our main task was to help reduce the cleaning effort in hygiene areas at meat processing plants. Our partners were a German cleaning company in North Rhine-Westphalia and a manufacturer of special cleaning agents in Germany. Over the course of the project we repeatedly conducted field tests at various companies (REWE, a turkey slaughterhouse, OWT, Hertha).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Presentation of the problem: difficult removal of protein-rich residue. Our solution: a combination of water pretreatment using OxyCat\u00ae, and the development of an adapted cleaning agent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The results were promising. By eliminating an entire cleaning step, we were able to lower overall cleaning time by 35 %, and the amount of environmentally relevant chemicals (chlorine) could be reduced as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The same solution can be implemented in other similar settings anytime. We provide the skills and expertise for successful implementation. There are no third-party rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
